Apa yang dimaksud dengan teliti? Teliti menurut kamus bahasa Indonesia adalah cermat dan hati-hati. Ini mengartikan bahwa ketelitian itu adalah sikap cermat serta kehati-hatian dalam mengambil suatu keputusan atau tindakkan.

Bayangkan, apa yang terjadi jika seorang pilot pesawat sedang tidak teliti dalam tugas. Bisa jadi pesawat yang dikendarainya itu akan mengalami masalah, karena ada beberapa hal penting yang ia lupakan atau tidak dilakukan.

Apa yang terjadi, ketika anda sedang dikejar waktu sementara anda belum melakukan persiapan untuk melakukan presentasi? Tentu saja, akan ada beberapa hal penting yang tak anda bawa hingga presentasi anda kurang maksimal dan bahkan bisa gagal. 

Misalnya anda lupa bawa pulpen untuk tanda tangan kontrak, pointer untuk menjelaskan sesuatu di slide presentasi, lupa bawa berkas penting atau hanya matere untuk tandatangan kontrak kerjasama. Semua itu bisa berakibat fatal jika lupa dan tak dipersiapkan sejak awal.

Untuk kasus yang lebih sederhana lagi, misalnya kita tidak teliti saat bersiap ke kantor. Karena terburu-buru, handphone anda tidak terbawa alias tertinggal di kamar kerja. Mungkin kita sudah bekerja sepenuh hati, tapi karena kurang teliti, kesan yang diterima jadi kurang maksimal. Ini yang harus digarisbawahi untuk masa yang akan datang. Karena itu, agar anda bisa terlihat professional maka factor ketelitian dalam bertugas sangatlah penting untuk diperhatikan.

Banyak orang yang sebenarnya memiliki kapasitas unggul dalam dirinya, pintar, tegas serta komnitem. Namun hanya karena factor kurang teliti, semua karakter itu jadi bernilai rendah.
